Lewis Consulting Group (LGC) was retained by the Municipality to perform oversight services associated with the investigation of historic fill and the removal of four underground storage tanks (USTs) as part of pre-demolition activities. This action was required to satisfy the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (N.J.A.C. 7:26E).

LCG's scope of work consisted of providing regulatory and technical oversight for the investigation of historic fill and removal of each UST and associated piping. Soil screening and post excavation soil sampling activities were conducted in accordance with applicable NJDEP soil sampling requirements. LCG's findings and recommendations were presented to the client in a comprehensive report, in accordance with the requirements as outlined within N.J.A.C. 7:26E. As a result of this investigation, a No Further Action designation was issued for the site.
